About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development, enhancement, and operation of enterprise observability platforms that provide monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and dashboarding capabilities across cloud and on-premises environments. The engineer will contribute to platform reliability, automation, and user adoption by partnering with application, infrastructure, and SRE teams. This role requires hands-on experience with observability tools, platform support, automation, and operational excellence, while helping scale observability services and improve the developer experience across the enterprise.

In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain observability solutions including dashboards, alerts, metrics, logs, and traces.
- Implement and support observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, OpenTelemetry, or similar platforms
- Partner with application, infrastructure, SRE, and cloud engineering teams to establish observability standards and best practices.




- Automate observability onboarding, dashboard provisioning, and monitoring workflows using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimization opportunities
- Support incident management activities by providing operational insights and root-cause analysis
- Contribute to observability governance, documentation, and adoption initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Application Support, DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Observability.
- Working knowledge of monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting concepts.
- Experience with at least one observability platform such as Grafana,
