Who Are You?
You have built systems that other engineers depend on, and you have led the people who built them. You have been the person who decided what the architecture would be, defended that decision, and lived with the consequences.
You are not looking for a defined scope.



You want to own the technical direction of a company at the point where that direction is still being set, and you want equity that reflects it.
We're looking for a Chief Technology Officer to join the founding team at Magic BI — partnering directly with the CEO and COO on what we build, how we build it, and who builds it with us.
What We Need?
10+ years building software, with meaningful time spent on distributed systems or data infrastructure. Depth in Python and/or Golang, and production experience on GCP or AWS. Hands-on experience architecting LLM-based applications — agent orchestration, retrieval, and evaluation — not just consuming an API. Solid grounding in data platforms: warehouses, pipelines, semantic and metrics layers. A track record of hiring, mentoring and leading an engineering team, however small. Judgement about what not to build, and the ability to explain that judgement to non-engineers. Prior startup or 0→1 experience, ideally so
