Key Responsibilities Application Development & Enhancement

- Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, Shell scripts, SQL, XML, and web services
- Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries.
- Implement change requests (CRs) and system enhancements
- Modify and optimize existing modules for better performance and compliance
- Work on policy administration workflows within Ingenium platform
- Provide L2/L3 production support for insurance applications
- Handle incident (IID) and problem (PID) tickets within SLA timelines
- Diagnose and resolve batch abends, system issues, and data inconsistencies
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive measures
- Conduct unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and regression testing




- Validate business scenarios in pre-production environments
- Support deployment activities using tools like Beyond Compare
- Ensure release readiness and post-deployment validation

Database & Data Management

- Execute SQL queries, data fixes, and data validation
- Manage DB2/Oracle operations including binding and performance tuning
- Support data migration and batch processing activities

Batch & System Operations

- Monitor and support batch jobs and month-end processing activities
- Troubleshoot and fix critical batch failures in real time
- Ensure smooth processing of business-critical insurance operations

Stakeholder Communication

- Provide regular status updates in daily/weekly meetings
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and offshore/onshore stakeholders
- Present insights using Excel, PowerPoint reports, and dashboards
