Job Responsibilities:

- Evaluating patients medical histories and current health to determine their suitability for bone marrow transplants
- Diagnosing blood-related Maligt non-Maligt disorders such as anaemiaSevere aplastic anaemiaBone marrow failure syndromeleukemia (acute and chronic) Lymphoma Myeloma and other haematological maligcies.
- Explaining the risksbenefits and procedure of a bone marrow transplant to patients and their families and consenting. Putting Hickman (tunnelled line) line or any central line in the patients.
- Bone marrow aspiration and Intrathecal chemotherapy.
- Administering specialized therapiessuch as blood transfusions and bone marrow transplants
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement an individualized care plan for each patient
- Performing bone marrow transplants and follow-up careincluding monitoring patients for complications and managing any adverse effects
- Conducting research to improve bone marrow transplant outcomes and contribute to the wider medical understanding of blood diseases




- Staying informed about the latest advancements in bone marrow transplant and haematological care
- Collaborating with haematologistsoncologistsand other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintaining detailed medical records and communicating patient progress to other healthcare professionals involved in the patient s care.
- Providing regular check-ups and follow-up care for patients with blood disorders.
- Educating patients and their families about post-transplant careincluding medicationsdietand lifestyle modifications
- Participating in ethical discussions related to donor selection and consentallocation of resourcesand end-of-life care for transplant patients.
- Administrative and Clinical head of the department of BMT Haematology.
