Job Title: Business Systems Analyst – AI Integration (HR/HCM)

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst with solid HR/HCM process knowledge and some hands-on AI technical experience. This person will bridge HR stakeholders and the AI engineering team, ensuring business requirements are clearly understood and translated into AI solutions that meet HR operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Work closely with HR stakeholders to understand business needs and processes across core HR, onboarding, employee changes, payroll, benefits, absence management, and offboarding.
- Document current workflows, pain points, business rules, exceptions, and desired outcomes before defining an AI solution.
- Translate HR requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, process flows, data requirements, and acceptance criteria for the AI engineering team.
- Explain HR processes and business context to engineers, clarify questions, and ensure shared understanding of the requirements.
- Partner with AI engineers to assess feasibility, identify dependencies, and validate proposed solutions against business needs.
- Define how AI workflows interact with HCM systems, including data sources, integration points, access permissions, and human approval steps.
- Apply technical understanding of LLMs, prompts, APIs, and AI workflows to support solution discussions, prototyping,



and troubleshooting.
- Define expected AI behavior, including when the solution should retrieve information, take action, request approval, or escalate to an HR representative.
- Coordinate testing and UAT with HR and engineering teams, validating business rules, response accuracy, exceptions, and end-to-end process outcomes.
- Support rollout, training, documentation, and post-launch improvements.

Required Skills and Experience

- 6–10 years of experience in business systems analysis, HRIS, or HR/HCM techno-functional roles.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable specifications for AI engineers.
- Experience with an HCM platform such as Workday, Oracle Fusion HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or Dayforce.
- Experience working directly with engineering teams on integrations, automation, or AI-enabled solutions.
- Some hands-on technical experience with AI, such as prompt testing, LLM API integration, AI workflow configuration, or prototype validation.
- Working understanding of REST APIs, JSON, data mapping, and integration concepts.
- Familiarity with RAG, HR knowledge sources, and evaluating AI responses.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder communication, and UAT skills.

Preferred Skills

- Basic Python, SQL, or API testing experience using Postman.
- Exposure to enterprise AI platforms and integration tools.
- Experience with HR knowledge assistants, employee self-service, or ServiceNow HRSD.
