Key Responsibilities

- Manage biomedical and diagnostic laboratory equipment across the North Zone.
- Oversee biomedical operations across multiple states, branches, and collection/testing centers.
- Ensure 95%+ equipment uptime through effective preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Develop and monitor annual PM, calibration, AMC and CMC schedules.
- Coordinate with OEMs and service vendors for breakdowns, installations, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure timely resolution of critical equipment breakdowns to minimize impact on laboratory operations and TAT.
- Maintain centralized asset records covering equipment age, warranty, AMC/CMC, service history, calibration and utilization.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring failures requiring CAPA.
- Evaluate technical requirements for new equipment and support procurement teams in technical evaluation.
- Review vendor performance against agreed SLAs and initiate corrective action where required.
- Manage biomedical CAPEX and OPEX for the North Zone.
- Identify obsolete,



underperforming and high-maintenance equipment and recommend replacement.
- Ensure proper installation, qualification, validation and handover of recent laboratory equipment.
- Conduct periodic biomedical audits across laboratories and ensure closure of observations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare, laboratory safety and biomedical equipment requirements.
- Train and guide biomedical engineers/technicians and laboratory personnel on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Finance, IT and Facility teams.
- Prepare monthly Zonal Biomedical MIS covering uptime, PM compliance, breakdowns, calibration, expenditure and vendor performance.
- Travel regularly across North Zone locations for audits, critical breakdowns, installations and operational reviews.
