Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented YouTube Shorts Editor to join the Dot Media team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of short-form content and be able to create engaging, fast-paced, and visually appealing YouTube Shorts that capture audience attention.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit per day 30 shorts and produce engaging YouTube Shorts and short-form videos.
- Create content with strong hooks, smooth transitions, captions, effects, and engaging visuals.
- Edit videos according to the brand, creator, and campaign requirements.
- Select the best footage and create compelling stories within a short duration.
- Add music, sound effects, subtitles, graphics, and other elements to enhance video quality.
- Keep up with the latest YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and social media trends.
- Understand pacing, retention, storytelling, and audience engagement for short-form content.
- Repurpose long-form videos, interviews, podcasts, and other content into engaging Shorts.
- Work closely with the creative and content teams to understand briefs and deliver content within deadlines.




- Ensure videos are optimized for mobile viewing and social media platforms.
- Maintain consistency in editing style, branding, and overall video quality.

Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in video editing, particularly short-form content.
- Strong knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut.
- Good understanding of YouTube Shorts and social media content formats.
- Strong sense of timing, visual storytelling, transitions, and music selection.
- Ability to identify trending formats, editing styles, sounds, and content patterns.
- Creative mindset with robust attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work within tight deadlines.
- A strong portfolio/showreel of short-form video editing work is preferred.
