FOCUS

Writing + content review THE ROLE

We are looking for a strong content writer who also has genuine yoga knowledge. You should understand yoga philosophy, Hatha Yoga, teacher education, and common Sanskrit terminology well enough to write accurately and review routine yoga content before publication.

This is a practical writing and editing role, not an academic Sanskrit-scholar position. You will create clear, practical content for an international audience, correct inaccuracies, verify terminology and sources, and ask a senior Arhanta teacher when a question requires deeper technical judgment.

AI use is permitted for research support, outlining, drafting, and language polishing. We care about the quality of the final work. However, you must personally check facts, Sanskrit terms, quotations, interpretations, and sources before approving content.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

· Write yoga content: Research and produce clear, engaging articles, video scripts, course-support material, emails, and other educational content.

· Review and approve routine content: Check work created by other writers or through AI-assisted workflows for accuracy, clarity, tone, structure, and usefulness before publication.

· Fact-check carefully: Verify yoga concepts, Sanskrit terms, quotations, traditional sources, and practical instructions instead of relying on general internet summaries.

· Create authority articles: Develop well-researched long-form content on yoga philosophy, Hatha Yoga, meditation, pranayama, chakras, mudras, bandhas, teaching methodology, and related subjects.

· Improve existing content: Update weak or outdated articles while preserving useful material and improving accuracy, readability, and search performance.

· Maintain consistency: Follow and improve Arhanta Yoga's terminology, tone, referencing, formatting, and editorial standards.

· Collaborate and escalate: Work with teachers, writers, SEO specialists, and designers. Refer complex, unclear, or lineage-sensitive questions to a senior Arhanta teacher before approval.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

· Yoga education and practice: A recognized yoga-teacher training, diploma or degree in yoga, or other reliable and verifiable study of yoga philosophy and practice.

· Practical yoga knowledge: A sound working understanding of the eight limbs, Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Hatha Yoga, meditation, pranayama, yogic ethics, and common subtle-body concepts. You do not need to be an academic expert in every topic.

· Sanskrit familiarity: Ability to understand and check commonly used Sanskrit yoga terms, spelling, transliteration, and meaning. Sanskrit fluency is not required.

· Writing experience: At least 2 years of professional content writing or editing, preferably in yoga, education, wellness, publishing, or a related field, supported by relevant samples.

· Strong written English: Ability to explain yoga concepts in transparent, natural, well-structured English for readers from different countries.

· Reliable judgment: Ability to identify doubtful claims, research them properly, and seek clarification instead of approving uncertain information.

USEFUL ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

· Experience teaching yoga, assisting with teacher training, or creating yoga-course material.

· Published yoga articles, course manuals, books, newsletters, or educational scripts.

· Residential ashram experience or sustained study with experienced yoga teachers.

· Experience reviewing other writers' work and giving clear editorial feedback.

· Familiarity with SEO, WordPress, content briefs, internal linking, and AI-assisted content workflows.

THIS ROLE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR

· General lifestyle or SEO writers who have only surface-level yoga knowledge.

· Yoga practitioners / teachers who cannot demonstrate professional English writing and editing ability.

· Applicants who copy AI output without checking facts, terminology, quotations, or sources.

· Writers who prioritize word count over accuracy, clarity, and usefulness.
