Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Workday Payroll role based in Surat.

The Workday

Payroll specialist will manage end-to-end payroll processing within the Workday platform, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining payroll data, handling garnishments and other deductions, validating payroll taxes, and coordinating with HR and finance teams to resolve discrepancies. The role also involves troubleshooting payroll-related issues in Workday, supporting audits and reporting, and continuously improving payroll workflows and controls.





The specialist will interact regularly with internal stakeholders to provide transparent, reliable payroll information and support.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing.
- Candidates should possess solid expertise in Payroll Taxes and related compliance activities.
- Candidates should possess experience with Garnishments and other statutory or voluntary deductions.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Payroll Services, including coordination with external providers as needed.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with confidential data responsibly.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with HR, finance, and technical teams.
- Relevant academic background in finance, accounting, HR, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in payroll within a mid- to large-scale organization is preferred.
