About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead WordPress & PHP Developer with AI expertise to join our remote team. This is a full-time, long-term position designed for an experienced developer who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the development, customization, and optimization of WordPress-based websites and applications.

You will be responsible for building complex custom themes and plugins, integrating third-party APIs, and ensuring websites are optimized for performance, security, and search engine visibility.

Your role will also involve leveraging AI tools to streamline development workflows, enhance code quality, and implement AI-driven SEO strategies. This position offers an excellent prospect to work with a global team, contribute to impactful projects, and grow your expertise in AI-assisted web development.

Qualifications The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience in PHP and WordPress development, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering complex web projects. Proficiency in Core PHP, Object-Oriented Programming, and popular frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or CakePHP is essential.





Experience in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, along with advanced knowledge of WordPress hooks, filters, custom post types, taxonomies, and custom fields, is required. Candidates should have a deep understanding of WooCommerce customization, Elementor and Elementor Pro, and converting static HTML/CSS designs into fully functional Elementor websites. Expertise in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery is mandatory, as is a solid grasp of MySQL database architecture and query optimization.

Familiarity with REST APIs, third-party integrations, version control systems like Git, and web security principles aligned with OWASP standards is also necessary. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Core Web Vitals, SEO, AI tools, and AI search readiness concepts.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Lead WordPress & PHP Developer, your responsibilities will include leading the development and maintenance of custom WordPress websites, themes, plugins, and WooCommerce functionalities. You will convert supplied HTML/CSS templates into fully editable, responsive Elementor websites, ensuring precise reproduction of layouts, typography, and interactions across devices. Building reusable Elementor templates and components while maintaining a clean, optimized structure is vital.

You will enhance front-end experiences with custom CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, ensuring websites meet performance benchmarks, including Core Web Vitals. Implementing and optimizing websites for AI Search Readiness, including structured data, schema markup, and semantic HTML, will be a key focus. You will develop and integrate REST APIs,



third-party services, CRMs, and payment gateways, ensuring robust security and platform stability.

Collaborating closely with project managers, digital marketing teams, and clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions is essential. You will review code, estimate effort, manage workloads, and ensure timely project delivery. Mentoring junior developers, supporting technical leadership, and maintaining high standards of quality and security are integral parts of your role.
