Position: Warehouse Manager
Location: Lonikand, Pune
Experience: 6–10 Years
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Warehouse Manager to manage and oversee day-to-day warehouse operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient inbound, storage, inventory management, order processing, picking, packing, dispatch, manpower management, and overall warehouse performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations
- Manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound, unloading, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
- Ensure smooth and timely movement of materials within the warehouse.
- Optimize warehouse layout, storage capacity, space utilization, and material flow.
- Ensure proper handling, stacking, labeling, and identification of inventory.
- Develop and implement SOPs to improve operational efficiency.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure high inventory accuracy.
- Conduct cycle counts, physical stock verification, and periodic stock audits.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages, damages, and excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving, non-moving, and damaged stock.
- Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
3. Inbound & Outbound Management
- Plan and monitor daily inbound and outbound activities.
- Coordinate with transporters, customers, vendors, and internal teams for smooth dispatches.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, documentation, and timely dispatch.
- Monitor vehicle loading/unloading and turnaround time.
- Ensure adherence to customer-specific warehouse and dispatch requirements.
4. Team & Manpower Management
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, supervisors, loaders, pickers, and other operational personnel.
- Prepare manpower deployment and shift plans based on workload.
- Monitor employee productivity and attendance.
- Conduct regular training on warehouse processes, safety, quality,
and SOP compliance.
- Maintain discipline and ensure a safe and productive working environment.
5. WMS Documentation
- Ensure proper and timely system transactions for all warehouse activities.
- Monitor WMS/ERP transactions related to GRN, put-away, picking, stock transfer, dispatch, returns, and inventory adjustments.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Maintain accurate warehouse documentation and records.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety policies and statutory requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Ensure safe operation of material-handling equipment.
- Conduct regular safety checks and address operational risks.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by warehouse personnel.
- Report and investigate accidents, damages, and safety incidents.
7. Performance & Cost Management
- Monitor key warehouse KPIs such as:
- Inventory Accuracy
- Order Accuracy
- Picking Accuracy
- On-Time Dispatch
- Warehouse Productivity
- Space Utilization
- Vehicle Turnaround Time
- Order Processing Time
- Damage & Loss
- Manpower Productivity
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Control warehouse operating expenses without compromising service quality.
8. Coordination
- Coordinate with Operations, Transport, Customer Service, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and other departments.
- Handle customer operational requirements and resolve warehouse-related issues.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics partners, vendors, and transporters when required.
- Escalate critical operational issues to management with appropriate corrective actions.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations.
- Good understanding of inventory management and stock control.
- Hands-on experience with WMS / ERP / warehouse management systems.
- Strong team leadership and manpower management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high-volume operations.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety, 5S, FIFO/FEFO, and SOP implementation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and operational reporting.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field will be preferred.
Experience
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations.
- Candidates with experience in 3PL, FMCG, retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, or distribution warehouses will be preferred.
- Experience managing a large warehouse team and high-volume operations will be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a hands-on warehouse professional with solid operational discipline and leadership capabilities. The candidate should be capable of independently managing warehouse activities, leading a team, handling customer requirements, controlling inventory, and continuously improving warehouse productivity and efficiency.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
