Role:
Vehicle CFD Simulation – Digital Wind tunnel
Responsibilities:
Full vehicle CFD simulation using HM, UG-NX, Star CCM+, PowerFLOW etc
Execute advanced CFD simulations: Aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, Multiphase investigations.
Digital Wind Tunnel (DWT) methodologies and virtual engineering activities.
Develop automation workflows, simulation templates and best practices (Python, scripting and workflow automation tools)
Lead verification and validation activities for simulation accuracy and robustness.
Technical/ Functional
:
Strong fundamentals: Fluid Mechanics, Thermal and CFD methods.
Knowledge of: Automotive Aerodynamics, Statistical knowledge for data analysis, Instrumentation, error analysis.
Experience in External Aerodynamics, Drag Reduction Studies, Correlation with Wind Tunnel and Physical Testing.
Experience of understanding Road load - WLTP, CO2 & CAFÉ regulatory procedures.
Experience in Digital Wind Tunnel Development,
Validation Methodologies & Correlation Framework Development.
Knowledge of various turbulence models and their application in automotive aerodynamics
Experience in establishing CFD methodologies, simulation guidelines and digital validation frameworks.
Experience in virtual product development processes and integration of CFD activities within vehicle development programs
Software knowledge: Hypermesh, UG-NX, Star CCM+, Power FLOW, Power ACOUSTICS
