We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer who will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for web applications, backend services, and APIs. This role combines strong Java automation expertise with hands-on experience in REST Assured, API testing, Selenium WebDriver, and automation framework development.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation, with strong proficiency in Java and proven experience in backend/API automation. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to design, implement, execute, and maintain reliable automated test solutions that ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java for web applications and backend services.
- Develop and execute automated REST API tests using REST Assured.
- Perform functional, integration, regression,



and end-to-end testing across web and backend applications.
- Build, enhance, and maintain scalable and reusable Selenium WebDriver automation frameworks.
- Validate API request and response payloads, status codes, headers, authentication, error handling, and business logic.
- Perform backend data validation using SQL queries and database testing.
- Develop reusable automation components following Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and clean coding practices.
- Implement and maintain automation frameworks using technologies such as Java, Selenium, TestNG/JUnit, Maven, REST Assured, and POM.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product managers, and QA teams to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze automation test results, troubleshoot failures, identify root causes, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure automation scripts follow quality, maintainability, and coding standards.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, automation scripts, and QA documentation.
- Perform cross-browser and end-to-end testing using Selenium.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage, testing efficiency, and overall QA processes.
- Support production validation, regression testing, and release activities when required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

Required Skills:

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in QA Automation / Software Testing.
- Strong hands-on programming experience with Java.
- Strong experience in REST API testing and automation.
- Hands-on experience with REST Assured for API automation.




- Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience in developing or working with automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven.
- Strong understanding of API automation and backend testing.
- Experience with Postman for API testing.
- Valuable understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and reusable code structures.
- Experience with Page Object Model (POM) and automation framework design.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- 5+ year of hands-on experience with SQL for backend and data validation.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with Playwright automation.

· Exposure to Python-based test automation.

· Experience with Cucumber / BDD frameworks.

· Exposure to ETL testing and data validation.

· Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.

· Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

· Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes and containerized environments.

· Experience with JMeter or other performance testing tools.

· Experience testing microservices and distributed applications.

· Knowledge of automated testing within CI/CD and DevOps environments.

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
