Role & responsibilities

- Independently complete allocated sections and full audit files, including completion sections, going concern review, post balance sheet events review, and accounts adjustments and disclosures, to the scope set by the UK team.

- Complete planning and risk assessment procedures for UK review, raising key issues clearly to the UK engagement team.

- Carry out substantive audit testing with a key focus on significant risk areas, and judgmental areas.

- Identify and document audit risks within allocated areas, ensuring adequate conclusions are reached and evidenced.

- Self-review own work thoroughly before submission and provide review points on the work of junior offshore colleagues, mainly substantive and controls testing.

- Take ownership of the accurate and timely completion of allocated work, following UK team standards, processes and policy.

- Escalate technical questions, data gaps, risks and deadline pressures promptly to the offshore manager and UK engagement team.

- Use data analytics packages to carry out and support audit procedures as directed

Preferred candidate profile

- Technically excellent, with strong,



up to date knowledge of ISA methodology, IFRS, and UK accounting standards (e.g. FRS 101 and FRS 102).

- Focused on results, deadlines, budget discipline and quality of delivery.

- Solution focused, raising queries and issues early and proposing practical ways forward.

- Responsible and accountable for assigned work, actions and communication with the UK engagement team.

- Committed to quality, with a clear understanding that audit work must be ISA compliant and appropriately reviewed.
