Role Description The Travel Consultant role at BagsAndMaps Travel Ltd. is a full time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Travel

Consultant will advise clients on domestic and international travel options, design customized itineraries, and manage end-to-end travel arrangements including transport, accommodation, and activities. Daily responsibilities include handling inquiries, providing destination information, preparing quotations, processing bookings and reservations, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure smooth travel experiences. The role also involves maintaining accurate client records, resolving issues before and during trips, and delivering professional, responsive customer service.

Consultant will collaborate with the team to refine travel packages and contribute ideas that enhance the overall client experience.

Qualifications

- Strong Travel Consulting skills with the ability to understand client preferences and recommend suitable itineraries.
- Experience in Travel Management, including organizing end-to-end trips and coordinating logistics.
- Proficiency in managing Travel Arrangements such as flights, accommodations, transfers, and tours.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a client-focused approach and ability to handle inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Hands-on experience with Reservations systems and booking platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, courteous manner with diverse clients.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
- Prior experience in a travel agency or related hospitality/travel role is preferred.
- Relevant education in travel, tourism, hospitality, or a related field is beneficial.
- Candidates should be comfortable commuting to the BagsAndMaps office in Guduvanchery, Chennai, as this is a full-time, on-site role.
