Responsible for managing gold-buying transactions by evaluating customer gold items, coordinating appraisal and valuation processes, ensuring accurate documentation, delivering excellent customer service, and completing transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive customers and explain the gold-buying process, required documentation, and applicable terms.
- Coordinate the examination, purity testing, weighing, and valuation of gold jewellery and ornaments.
- Verify appraisal results, gold purity, weight, applicable rates, deductions, and final transaction values.
- Prepare accurate quotations, purchase agreements, receipts, and other transaction documents.
- Explain valuation details, pricing, deductions, and payment procedures clearly to customers.
- Negotiate and finalize gold-buying transactions within approved company guidelines.
- Verify customer identity and supporting documents in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Process cash, bank transfers, or other approved payment methods accurately and securely.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of gold purchases, customer details, payments, and inventory movements.
- Ensure the safe custody, tagging, packaging, and transfer of purchased gold items.
- Identify and report suspicious, counterfeit, adulterated, or potentially fraudulent gold items and transactions.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and escalate issues when required.
- Coordinate with appraisers, branch managers,



operations, finance, and security teams to ensure smooth transaction processing.
- Reconcile daily transactions, cash, payment records, and gold inventory, reporting discrepancies promptly.
- Follow all company procedures, security controls, anti-money-laundering requirements, and applicable legal regulations.
- Keep updated with gold rates, market practices, customer service standards, and transaction procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Transaction Executive, Gold-Buying Executive, Jewellery Sales Executive, Gold Appraiser, or in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of gold-buying procedures, purity, weighing, valuation, and current market rates.
- Solid numerical, documentation, and transaction-processing skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify unusual or suspicious transactions and follow escalation procedures.
- Basic computer skills and experience with billing, point-of-sale, or transaction management systems.
- Ability to handle cash, customer documents, and valuable items responsibly.
- Knowledge of local gold market practices and applicable compliance requirements is an advantage.
