nEducational Qualification

n

- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised institution.
n
- Candidates with relevant technical or laboratory certification will be preferred.
n
- Qualification should be aligned with the requirements of the respective laboratory.

nKey Roles & Responsibilities

n

n
1. Assist faculty members and students in conducting laboratory practicals, experiments, demonstrations, and projects.
n
2. Prepare and arrange laboratory equipment, instruments, materials, chemicals, tools, and other resources before practical sessions.
n
3. Ensure that all laboratory equipment and instruments are properly maintained, calibrated, and kept in working condition.
n
4. Maintain proper stock registers, inventory records, issue/return records, and laboratory documentation.
n
5. Support faculty members during practical classes, examinations, workshops, seminars, and other academic activities.
n
6. Assist students in the proper handling and operation of laboratory equipment under faculty supervision.
n
7. Ensure cleanliness, safety, and discipline within the laboratory.
n
8. Follow and implement laboratory safety procedures, SOPs, and university guidelines.
n
9. Monitor the availability of consumables and raise timely requests for procurement or replenishment.
n
10. Report damaged, defective,



or malfunctioning equipment to the Lab In-charge / concerned authority.
n
11. Assist in the installation, setup, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
n
12. Ensure proper storage and labelling of equipment, materials, chemicals, samples, and other laboratory resources, wherever applicable.
n
13. Maintain records of laboratory usage and ensure that equipment is issued and returned properly.
n
14. Support faculty and students during research projects, student projects, practical assessments, and academic activities.
n
15. Assist in maintaining laboratory readiness for inspections, audits, accreditation, and statutory requirements.
n
16. Coordinate with the concerned departments for repair, maintenance, procurement, and other laboratory requirements.
n
17. Ensure responsible use of university resources and minimise wastage of laboratory materials.
n
18. Perform any other laboratory-related duties assigned by the Lab In-charge / HOD / University Management.
