Hiring: Tooling Assistant Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Tooling Assistant Engineer with hands-on experience in tooling maintenance and troubleshooting. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining tooling availability, attending tooling breakdowns and supporting smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of production tooling.
- Attend and troubleshoot tooling breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Identify tooling issues and carry out necessary repair, correction and modification activities.
- Ensure tools are maintained in positive working condition and available as per production requirements.
- Support tooling trials and resolve tooling-related issues during production.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance and Process teams for tooling-related activities.
- Monitor tooling condition and support actions to improve tool life and reliability.
- Maintain proper records of tooling maintenance and breakdown activities.
- Follow 5S, safety and housekeeping standards within the tool room/work area.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to tooling maintenance and breakdown reduction.

Required Skills




- Hands-on experience in Tooling Maintenance / Tool Room
- Strong knowledge of Tool & Die
- Experience in tooling breakdown troubleshooting
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective tooling maintenance
- Tool repair, correction and modification experience
- Good understanding of manufacturing and machining processes
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of 5S and shop-floor practices
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams

Qualification
- Diploma / Polytechnic in Tool & Die Making / Tool Engineering
- Candidates with relevant hands-on tooling maintenance experience will be preferred.

Experience 4–8 years of relevant experience in Tooling Maintenance / Tool Room / Tool & Die Maintenance, preferably from an automotive, engineering or manufacturing environment.
