Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified, passionate and technically proficient TGT / PGT Computer Science Teacher to join our academic team in Barasat.

The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Computer Science education, conducting practical/laboratory sessions, developing students' programming and computational-thinking skills, and contributing to their overall academic development.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver effective and engaging Computer Science lessons as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Teach Computer Science / Information Technology to the assigned classes.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects and assessment materials.
- Conduct practical and computer laboratory sessions.
- Teach programming, coding and computational concepts through practical learning.
- Guide students in projects, coding assignments and practical examinations.
- Assess and monitor students' academic progress regularly.
- Provide additional academic support wherever required.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Integrate digital tools, smart-class technology and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Prepare students for school examinations and practical assessments.
- Maintain academic records and student performance reports.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings,



workshops and school events.
- Support coding competitions, technology-related activities and other co-curricular programmes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and the academic leadership team.

Mandatory Educational Qualifications

TGT Computer Science

- B.Ed. is compulsory.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications or a relevant discipline.
- Relevant school-teaching qualification as per applicable board/school norms.
- Prior experience in a reputed school will be preferred.

PGT Computer Science
- B.Ed. is compulsory.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications or a relevant discipline.
- Relevant qualification as per applicable board/school norms.
- Prior experience teaching Computer Science at the senior-secondary level will be preferred.

Candidates without B.Ed. will not be considered.

Technical Skills

Candidates should have strong knowledge of relevant school-level Computer Science concepts, including:

- Python / Java / C++ as applicable to the curriculum
- Programming fundamentals
- Data structures and algorithms
- Database concepts and SQL
- Computer networks
- Cybersecurity fundamentals
- Web technologies




- Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies
- Computational thinking and problem-solving
- Digital teaching tools and educational technology

Experience
- TGT: 2–5 years of relevant school teaching experience preferred.
- PGT: 3–7 years of relevant Computer Science teaching experience preferred.
- Candidates with experience in CBSE/ICSE schools will be preferred.
