The TGT Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering effective, engaging, and conceptually clear mathematics instruction to students in classes V TO VIII.

The teacher must be capable of developing a strong mathematical foundation among learners, fostering logical reasoning, problem-solving ability, and a love for the subject through innovative teaching methods and technology-integrated pedagogy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic Planning and Delivery

- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
- Deliver classroom instruction using interactive and student-centred teaching methodologies.
- Integrate real-life applications and activities to make mathematics relatable and enjoyable.
- Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate student understanding.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ academic progress, attendance, and performance.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized academic support to students.

2. Classroom Management

- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom.
- Encourage participation, collaboration, and respect among students.
- Develop and enforce classroom norms and routines that promote effective learning.

3. Evaluation and Reporting





- Design and administer formative and summative assessments as per school policy.
- Analyze assessment data to identify learning gaps and take corrective teaching measures.
- Submit timely reports on student performance to parents and school authorities.
- Participate in result analysis and academic review meetings.

4. Career development

- Participate in regular training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance subject knowledge and teaching methodology.
- Stay updated with recent trends, technologies, and changes in mathematics education.
- Collaborate with peers to design interdisciplinary and project-based learning modules.

5. Co-curricular and Administrative Responsibilities

- Mentor students for math competitions, Olympiads, and other enrichment programs.
- Contribute to school events, exhibitions, and cultural or academic activities.
- Take on additional responsibilities such as examination duty, supervision, and parent–teacher meetings.
- Maintain professional ethics, punctuality, and decorum within the school environment.
