About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated L2/L3 Support Engineer to join our team supporting a leading Asia-based investment bank. This role is pivotal in maintaining the stability and performance of the bank’s market data platform and trading systems. As a key operational owner, you will provide high-quality support during New York hours, ensuring seamless integration and operation of critical financial systems.

Your responsibilities will include incident management, technical troubleshooting, deployment activities, and infrastructure enhancements to support the evolving regulatory and business needs. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the stability and growth of a globally significant financial platform.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, industry experience, and a proactive mindset.





Essential qualifications include hands-on L2/L3 production support experience within e-Trading platforms or capital markets environments. A strong understanding of ITIL processes, incident, problem, and change management is required. Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, along with experience in query optimization and troubleshooting database issues, is necessary.

Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting and network troubleshooting commands is also essential. Candidates should have experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, and an understanding of secure communication mechanisms, including asymmetric encryption. Knowledge of scripting languages like Java or Python for automation and debugging is desirable.

Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in high-availability environments are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Support and maintain the bank’s market data platform and downstream trading systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Act as a primary operational owner, managing incidents and problem tickets to resolution during NY hours.
- Implement pre-release and post-deployment verifications to ensure system stability.
- Coordinate deployments using tools such as Rundeck or Azure DevOps, and implement application control solutions like start/stop scripts.
- Integrate and configure monitoring solutions including OpsRamp to proactively identify and resolve issues.




- Provision new servers, configure authentication, service accounts, and other infrastructure components.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to trading and market data, providing timely resolutions.
- Follow up on incidents and problems, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
- Recommend and implement infrastructure improvements to enhance system resilience and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and infrastructure engineers, to optimize operational workflows.
