Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and visionary Enterprise Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of enterprise technology landscapes. The ideal candidate will define architecture strategies across applications, data, integration, infrastructure, security, and cloud platforms while ensuring alignment with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
The role requires deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud-native solutions, distributed systems, microservices, DevOps, and contemporary integration patterns. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate closely with senior business leaders, engineering teams, and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, resilient, and future-ready technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Governance
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture blueprints covering applications, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure, and security domains.
- Define architecture principles, standards, governance frameworks, and technology guardrails.
- Align technology strategy with business objectives and long-term organizational goals.
- Conduct architecture reviews, design assessments, and solution approvals.
- Drive architecture modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Establish enterprise-wide technology roadmaps and target-state architectures.
System Design & Scalability
- Design highly scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems supporting millions of transactions.
- Architect solutions for high availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Define performance optimization strategies including:
- Caching
- Load balancing
- Data partitioning
- Queuing mechanisms
- Event-driven architectures
- Lead architectural decisions for complex enterprise platforms.
Cloud Architecture
- Lead cloud-first initiatives across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Design cloud-native, multi-cloud, and hybrid-cloud architectures.
- Implement infrastructure automation using:
- Terraform
- ARM Templates
- CloudFormation
- Define cloud governance frameworks, landing zones, and multi-account strategies.
- Optimize cloud utilization, cost management, security, and operational excellence.
- Drive observability, monitoring, logging, and cloud reliability practices.
Microservices & API Architecture
- Design and govern microservices-based architectures.
- Define API management standards and governance policies.
- Architect API gateway and service mesh solutions.
- Implement containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Apply Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles and bounded contexts.
- Enable secure, scalable, and reusable API ecosystems.
Data & Integration Architecture
- Design enterprise data architecture strategies supporting analytics and AI/ML platforms.
- Define integration patterns using
- REST APIs
- gRPC
- Messaging Platforms
- Event Streaming Technologies
- Architect real-time data processing systems using Kafka and Event Hub.
- Drive master data management, data governance, lineage, and metadata management initiatives.
- Ensure secure and scalable data platform architectures.
Security & Compliance
- Embed security-by-design and zero-trust principles across enterprise platforms.
- Define Identity & Access Management (IAM) strategies.
- Architect secure network segmentation and access control mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with security teams to establish risk mitigation strategies.
DevOps & Site Reliability Engineering
- Design enterprise CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation frameworks.
- Define monitoring and observability standards including:
- Logs
- Metrics
- Distributed Tracing
- APM
- Implement reliability engineering practices and operational excellence models.
- Drive SLA, SLO, and Error Budget adoption across engineering teams.
- Champion DevSecOps and automation-first culture.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business leaders to translate strategic requirements into technology solutions.
- Provide executive-level technology recommendations.
- Mentor architects, engineering leaders, and technical teams.
- Influence enterprise technology decisions and innovation programs.
- Lead architecture councils and governance boards.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across business and technology organizations.
