About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Project Manager to lead a software delivery team from our Pune office. This person will have grown from a strong engineering background into people and delivery leadership. Day to day, you will drive the team's execution i.e. planning schedules, removing blockers, owning releases and timelines, and keeping customers and leadership informed.

You will be expected to be a firm, commanding leader and a task master who holds the team to high standards, while also acting as a technical guide and mentor who builds the right work culture.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Own day-to-day interaction with the engineering team including planning, assigning, and driving daily and weekly work schedules to ensure work gets done on time.
- Manage product releases and delivery timelines end to end, keeping commitments predictable and transparent.
- Run project planning and tracking using JIRA including backlogs, sprints, boards, and reporting.
- Manage people: set expectations, provide direction, guide and mentor the team, and drive accountability.
- Handle day-to-day communication with people on customer projects and act as a dependable point of contact for customers.
- Built relations with the customers and grow the account by winning more work for the company




- Assist in Pre-Sales Activities likes Solution Architecture Design, RFP response, Pricing etc
- Own escalations and risk management i.e. identify risks early, mitigate them, and escalate appropriately.
- Assess team performance regularly and give transparent, constructive feedback.
- Report status updates to the leadership team on a weekly basis.
- Set up and reinforce the right work culture i.e. discipline, ownership, and high delivery standards.

Experience & Background

- Around 8-10 years of total experience in software with strong coding skills and Object Oriented programming fundamentals
- Must be doing a role of Technical Lead currently and ready to transition to a Technical Project Manager role
- A strong technical foundation with 4 to 5 years of hands-on application development using Python, Java, APIs, and Databases.
- 23 years (most recent) of experience managing a technical team and owning delivery.

Skills & Competencies

- Hands-on proficiency across Python, Java, REST/APIs, and relational databases.
- Strong project management skills with practical, day-to-day experience in JIRA.
- Proven people management—directing, motivating, and holding a team accountable.
- Excellent customer communication and stakeholder management.
- Solid escalation and risk management judgment under delivery pressure.
- Ability to plan schedules, manage releases, and consistently meet timelines.
