We are looking for a Technical Head – Dredging with extensive experience in marine/dredging technical management. The role will lead the technical management, reliability, maintenance, compliance, and lifecycle performance of a diversified dredger fleet.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the overall technical management of the dredging fleet and ensure high technical availability and reliability.

- Oversee maintenance planning, PMS, dry docking, overhauls, retrofits, and modernization projects.

- Monitor and improve propulsion, dredge pumps, hydraulic, electrical, and automation systems.

- Ensure compliance with ISM Code, MARPOL, Class, Flag State, and HSE requirements.

- Develop fleet maintenance strategies, technical standards, and reliability improvement initiatives.

- Manage technical budgets, repair and maintenance costs, dry-docking expenditure, and spare parts.

- Lead and develop the shore-based technical team, including Technical Superintendents.

- Manage OEM, shipyard, classification society, contractor, and technical service provider relationships.

- Provide technical input on fleet upgrades, refurbishment/replacement,



and lifecycle strategies.

- Support emergency response, incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions.

Key Requirements

- 15–20 years of relevant experience in marine/dredging technical management.

- 8–10 years of shore-based technical management experience.

- Robust expertise in dredger machinery, propulsion systems, pumps, hydraulics, electrical systems, PLCs, and automation.

- Strong experience in dry docking, PMS, asset lifecycle management, and fleet operations.

- Experience managing multiple dredgers/fleet operations is preferred.

- Sailing experience as a Chief Engineer on dredgers or similar marine assets is preferred.

- Degree in Marine Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.

- Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency preferred.

- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and classification requirements.

- Excellent leadership, decision-making, stakeholder management, communication, and team-development skills.
