Payment Posting Team Lead - Physician Billing

Job Summary

We are looking for a Payment Posting Team Lead for our Physician Billing team. The candidate will be responsible for managing daily payment posting activities, ensuring accurate and timely posting of insurance and patient payments, maintaining quality standards, and supporting team performance within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day payment posting operations and oversee team performance.
- Ensure accurate posting of insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and write-offs.
- Review and process EOBs, ERAs, EFTs, and paper checks.
- Identify and resolve payment posting discrepancies and reconciliation issues.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and turnaround time (TAT) metrics.
- Conduct quality checks and provide feedback to team members.
- Coach, train, and support team members to achieve operational goals.
- Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Coordinate with Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR),



and Denials teams for issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and internal quality standards.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- 6+ years of experience in US Healthcare Medical Billing/RCM with strong experience in Payment Posting.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Team Lead on paper.
- Valuable understanding of EOBs, ERAs, EFTs, payment reconciliation, adjustments, and write-offs.
- Experience in Physician Billing is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting.
- Ability to manage team productivity and quality targets.
