Position: UAV System Engineer – VTOL

- About the RoleWe are looking for a technically skilled UAV System Engineer – VTOL to join our R&D; team. The candidate will be responsible for the integration, configuration, tuning, flight testing, troubleshooting, and system-level validation of VTOL UAV platforms.

The ideal candidate should have practical hands-on experience with VTOL UAVs, ArduPilot/PX4, flight controllers, autopilots, telemetry systems, sensors, and ground control stations. Experience in actually flying and/or tuning VTOL aircraft is highly preferred.

- Key Responsibilities
- Configure, integrate, and commission Fixed-Wing VTOL / Hybrid VTOL UAV systems.
- Perform flight controller configuration and parameter setup using ArduPilot.
- Conduct VTOL and fixed-wing flight tuning, including transition, altitude, attitude, navigation, and airspeed-related parameters.
- Plan and execute ground tests, hover tests, transition tests, and flight trials.
- Perform flight testing and analyze flight logs to identify and resolve system-level issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot ArduPilot, Mission Planner, QGroundControl, telemetry, GPS/GNSS, airspeed sensors, ESCs, servos, motors, and other UAV subsystems.

- Required Technical SkillsEssential:

- Hands-on experience with VTOL UAVs / Hybrid VTOLs.
- Practical experience in VTOL flight testing and/or tuning.
- Strong knowledge of ArduPilot and its VTOL/Plane firmware.
- Experience with Mission Planner and/or QGroundControl.
- Knowledge of VTOL transition tuning and TECS configuration.
- Experience with long-range telemetry and video-link integration.

- Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in:




- Aerospace Engineering
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Electronics & Telecommunication
- Electronics Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Robotics
- Mechanical Engineering
- or a related engineering discipline.

- Experience2–5 years of relevant experience in UAV/Drone systems.

Candidates with strong practical experience in VTOL flying, tuning, integration, and field testing will be preferred.

- Be comfortable working hands-on with UAV hardware.
- Have actual VTOL flying experience, not only theoretical knowledge.
- Be capable of independently conducting UAV ground and flight tests.
- Understand how to diagnose flight-performance issues from flight logs and aircraft behaviour.
- Be willing to travel for field trials, testing, demonstrations, and customer deployments.
- Have robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D; environment.
