Role Overview

Wecodee Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced IBM Power System Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in IBM AIX, IBM Power Systems, PowerVM, LPAR, HMC, VIOS, enterprise storage, SAN, backup, disaster recovery, and system recovery operations.

The ideal candidate should have experience managing enterprise and mission-critical IBM Power Infrastructure environments and be comfortable working in an in office international assignment.

Key ResponsibilitiesIBM AIX Administration

- Manage and operate IBM AIX systems in enterprise and mission-critical environments.
- Manage AIX file systems, storage, networks, users, and permissions.
- Perform system upgrades, updates, and patch management.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance.
- Use advanced AIX performance monitoring and tuning tools for performance analysis.

IBM Power Systems / LPAR
- Manage and operate IBM Power Systems and PowerVM environments.
- Configure and administer HMC and VIOS.
- Create, configure, and manage LPARs.
- Allocate and reallocate CPU, memory, and I/O resources based on requirements.
- Perform and manage Live Partition Mobility (LPM) activities.
- Troubleshoot PowerVM, LPAR, and virtualization-related issues.

Storage, SAN, Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Manage enterprise storage environments such as IBM FlashSystem or equivalent enterprise storage platforms.
- Manage and support SAN infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and manage backup and recovery solutions for mission-critical systems.
- Manage storage replication between Primary Data Center and Disaster Recovery Site.
- Implement and test failover and failback procedures.
- Prepare, implement, and test Disaster Recovery (DR)



plans and procedures.
- Verify system and data recoverability against approved RPO/RTO requirements.

Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of documented, hands-on experience in System Administration for enterprise IBM Power Infrastructure environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM AIX.
- Strong knowledge of IBM Power Systems, PowerVM, and LPARs.
- Hands-on experience with HMC and VIOS.
- Experience with Live Partition Mobility (LPM).
- Experience with enterprise storage, preferably IBM FlashSystem or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of SAN infrastructure.
- Experience in backup, recovery, storage replication, and Disaster Recovery.
- Hands-on experience with failover/failback and DR testing.
- Understanding of RPO/RTO and mission-critical recovery requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and system administration capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in an on-site international environment.
