About the Role The Supply Planning Lead is responsible for converting the signed-off demand plan into a reliable material and replenishment plan for every distribution center, and for owning inventory health across the network. The role guarantees stock availability at the distribution centres, so that there is no sales loss arising from a supply-side stock-out, while controlling inventory days of cover, expiry and slow-moving stock.

The Supply Planning Lead leads a team of supply planners aligned to the brand portfolios and works closely with Demand Planning and S&OP;, Category Management, Warehouse and Logistics, and Finance. Central Supply Planning owns the plan while the distribution centers own its execution. The role sets the norms, logic and cadence that drive replenishment and availability, and holds accountability for the associated service and inventory outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

A. Material & Replenishment Planning

- Convert the signed-off demand plan into material requirements plan for every distribution center through menu-mix explosion.
- Run min-max levels, reorder points and purchase-requisition generation to drive auto-replenishment across the network.
- Plans inbound pickup schedules and truck indents centrally, based on the replenishment and load-build plan.

B. Inventory Health & Availability
- Set and review days-of-cover norms by SKU, distribution center and category each planning cycle.
- Define service-level safety stock by SKU based on lead-time variability.
- Track stock availability and stock-out risk by distribution center and SKU, flagging risk at least seven days ahead with a defined escalation.
- Monitor supplier fill rate and lead-time performance through a monthly scorecard.

C. Expiry,

Ageing & Warehouse Space
- Establish FEFO discipline, ageing buckets and near-expiry alerts to control expiry and write-off.
- Run a monthly liquidation plan for slow-moving and non-moving stock.
- Plan warehouse space utilization against the inbound and build plan.

D. Team Leadership
- Lead a team of supply planners aligned to the brand portfolios, setting priorities, standards and review cadence.
- Build planning capability across the team and ensure consistent planning discipline across brands and distribution centers.
- Manage the performance and development of the planning team.

E. Planning Governance & Collaboration
- Represent supply planning in the monthly S&OP; cycle, translating the consensus demand plan into supply commitments.
- Partner with Category Management on inventory norms, safety stock and liquidation, and with Warehouse and Logistics on inbound and space planning.
- Own the key planning decisions — norm changes, safety-stock levels, build-ahead, and pickup schedules and truck indents.
