Role Description The Subject Matter Expert (SME) is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. The SME will provide domain expertise for digital publishing and IT-enabled services projects, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and consistency of content and workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and validating project requirements, defining standards and best practices, guiding teams on content structure and quality, and collaborating with production, technology, and quality assurance teams to resolve complex issues.

The SME will develop documentation, training materials, and guidelines to support internal teams,



and may participate in client discussions to clarify specifications and recommend solutions. The role also involves continuous learning to stay current with industry trends, tools, and standards related to ePublishing, accessibility, and digital media.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in digital publishing, ePublishing workflows, and content transformation for multi-platform delivery.
- Experience with OCR processing, XML/HTML structuring, ePub creation, and accessibility compliance standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Knowledge of media production processes, including multimedia integration, video editing workflows, and digital asset management.
- Ability to design, document, and optimize workflow automation processes, including AI-assisted and rule-based automation.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and consistency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Publishing, Media, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Familiarity with learning management, educational content, or enterprise documentation is an advantage.
