STORES IN-CHARGE – FIRE & SAFETY SYSTEMS A Career-Building Opportunity for Fresh Diploma Holders in Fire & Safety

POWERTECH SYSTEMS, Thiruvananthapuram is looking for energetic, responsible and career-oriented candidates to join our team as Stores In-Charge – Fire & Safety Systems.

This is not merely a conventional stores position. The selected candidate will get valuable practical exposure to Fire Fighting & Fire Safety materials, relevant codes and standards, design coordination, procurement, project execution, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of fire protection systems.

For freshers, this role offers an excellent prospect to understand how a complete Fire Protection System progresses from design and material selection to installation, testing, commissioning and final handover.

QUALIFICATION

- Plus Two (+2) with Diploma in Fire & Safety
- Basic computer knowledge is essential
- Knowledge of MS Office / Excel will be an added advantage
- Must possess a Two-Wheeler
- Freshers are encouraged to apply

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Receiving, verifying and properly storing Fire Fighting & Fire Safety materials and equipment
- Issuing materials to project sites against approved requirements
- Maintaining stock registers, inventory records and material movement details
- Periodic checking and updating of stock
- Monitoring minimum stock levels of regularly used materials
- Maintaining records of tools, equipment, returned materials and consumables
- Coordinating with the Purchase, Design, Project Management, Site Engineering and Supervisory teams
- Assisting the Design Team and Project Management Team in identification and selection of suitable materials
- Referring to applicable Fire & Safety codes, standards,



technical specifications and manufacturers' data for procurement and material selection
- Developing practical knowledge of fire pumps, valves, pipes, fittings, hydrants, sprinklers, fire alarm components, extinguishers and other Fire & Safety equipment
- Monitoring stores and material utilization at various project sites through Site Engineers and Supervisors
- Assisting in inventory control, purchase coordination and stores documentation
- Participating in the final testing and commissioning of Fire Fighting System projects
- Assisting the project team during system checking, testing, trial runs and final handover

For fresh Diploma holders, this exposure will be highly beneficial in building a strong technical foundation and understanding the complete working of Fire Protection Systems in actual projects.
