Role & responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and organized Store Keeper to manage the hospital's inventory, including medicines, medical supplies, consumables, stationery and other store materials. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring timely availability of required items.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, check and maintain incoming hospital materials and supplies.

Maintain proper stock records of all items.

Issue medicines, medical consumables, stationery and other materials to concerned departments against authorized requisitions.

Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and issue records.

Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.

Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.

Maintain proper records of expiry dates, batch numbers and quantities wherever applicable.

Follow FIFO/FEFO practices as applicable.

Coordinate with Purchase, Pharmacy, Nursing, OT, ICU, Administration and other departments.

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports.

Identify shortages, damaged items and expired/near-expiry stock and report them to management.

Ensure proper storage, labeling and systematic arrangement of materials.

Maintain cleanliness and safety of the store area.





Coordinate with vendors regarding deliveries and discrepancies.

Maintain proper documentation for audit and NABH requirements.

Ensure materials are issued only against authorized requests.

Assist in inventory audits and stock reconciliation.

Perform other store-related duties assigned by management.

Required Skills

Valuable knowledge of hospital inventory and store management.

Knowledge of medical consumables and hospital supplies preferred.

Basic knowledge of MS Excel and computer operations.

Good record-keeping and documentation skills.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to maintain accurate stock records.

Responsible, organized and detail-oriented.

Qualification

12th Pass / Graduate

Diploma or certification in Store/Inventory Management will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

Experience in Hospital / Healthcare Store / Medical Store / Inventory Department will be preferred.
