ANF040 - Sr Quality Engineer - eComm

Feature Testing:

About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who notices fragile seams long before customers feel them. You naturally explore the edges of every eCommerce idea, from checkout enhancements and personalization experiments to major platform changes, asking where it could fail under real traffic, which dependencies may be hidden, and how the experience will behave during peak demand.

In this role, quality is not a final gate. You will embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle by partnering with engineers, product managers and designers, creating practical test strategies, building reliable automation and helping teams deliver resilient, performant customer experiences. You will develop a deep understanding of our commerce architecture, customer journeys, and operational rhythms.

You will contribute hands-on across UI, API, mobile and integration testing, identify risks early, improve delivery feedback loops and share repeatable quality practices with the wider engineering community.

What Will You Do:

Apply a Quality Mindset:

- Contribute to early conversations about assumptions, risks and real-world customer scenarios.
- Identify edge cases, dependencies and system behaviors before development begins.
- Promote shared ownership of quality across Agile, cross-functional teams.

Design Effective Test Strategies;

- Create practical, risk-based test strategies for complex and high-impact eCommerce features.
- Develop explicit test plans and support high-quality acceptance criteria.
- Balance exploratory, functional, integration, regression and non-functional testing based on risk.

Build and Improve Automation:

- Design,



implement and maintain automated tests across UI, API, mobile and integration layers.
- Contribute to scalable test framework architecture and reusable automation patterns.
- Keep automation reliable, maintainable and aligned with product and engineering needs.
- Adopt automation early in the development lifecycle to reduce manual effort and accelerate feedback.
- Leveraging the AI tools for test case generation/Test data generation/Automation work and QE process improvements

Test Complex eCommerce Journeys:

- Uncover risks and integration issues across checkout, payments, inventory, personalization and related customer journeys.
- Franchise Testing
- Validate customer-facing behavior across browsers, devices, responsive layouts and service integrations.
- Partner with teams to troubleshoot defects, isolate failures and improve root-cause visibility.

Strengthen Delivery Pipelines:

- Contribute automated tests and meaningful quality checks to CI/CD workflows.
- Improve failure detection, debugging information and build reliability.
- Help establish fast feedback loops that support confident releases.

Partner Across Disciplines:

- Collaborate with product, design, engineering, data and DevOps teams to ensure features meet customer expectations.
- Communicate quality risks, testing progress and release readiness clearly and constructively.
- Share knowledge and support engineers in adopting effective testing and automation practices.

Improve Performance, Stability and Readiness:

- Support quality readiness for major releases, peak events and seasonal traffic spikes.
- Help assess performance risks and validate system resilience under load.
- Identify recurring gaps and convert them into reusable tools, standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

- 8-10 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Front-End Engineering. (Individual contributor)
- Playwright, Javascript/Java, Jest, Jasmine.
- Copilot/Cursor or any AI tools exposure
- Experience testing APIs using REST API Automation and/or GraphQL.
- Experience contributing automated tests to CI/CD workflows, such as GitLab.
- Experience in retail or eCommerce domains.
- Experience testing customer-facing applications and end-to-end Retail eCommerce journeys.
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams.
- A quality-first mindset with strong instincts around risk,



test strategy and customer impact.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to advocate for quality clearly and constructively.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Micro Frontend architecture.
- Knowledge of Node.js, NPM and front-end build tooling.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Adobe Experience Manager(AEM) content creation and testing for Web and Mobile Apps
