About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer with solid Django experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable backend applications, REST APIs, database-driven applications, and enterprise-grade web solutions using Python and Django.

The candidate will work closely with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, product teams, and other stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
- Develop robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs and web services.
- Build and maintain applications using Django / Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Design and optimize database structures, queries, and transactions.
- Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis where required.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Implement authentication, authorization, security, and API best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application and database performance.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.




- Develop unit and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, Product, and other engineering teams.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Contribute to technical documentation and development best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when required.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Django.
- Good experience with Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Strong knowledge of Python 3.x.
- Strong understanding of OOP, data structures, and programming fundamentals.
- Strong experience developing REST APIs and web services.
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Good understanding of API security and authentication mechanisms.
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Experience with unit testing, debugging, and code optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of SDLC and software engineering best practices.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Django REST Framework.




- Experience with FastAPI or Flask.
- Knowledge of Redis and caching mechanisms.
- Experience with Celery and asynchronous/background processing.
- Knowledge of RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Exposure to AI/ML or data-processing applications is an added advantage.
