Role Summary:
We are looking for a Sr. Product Engineer – R&D; who can take ownership of product development from concept and engineering design through prototyping, testing, validation, and production.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead R&D; and recent product development for liquid cooling, thermal management and data-center cooling products.
2. Develop and improve CDUs, L2L/L2A cooling systems, heat exchangers, manifolds, piping assemblies, pumps, valves and associated mechanical components.
3. Convert customer and product requirements into engineering specifications, concepts and detailed designs.
4. Perform thermal, fluid-flow and mechanical engineering calculations for cooling systems.
5. Work closely with the Thermal/CFD, Mechanical Design, Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
6. Develop prototypes and coordinate prototype build, testing, validation and design iterations.
7. Analyze test results and implement design improvements for performance, reliability, manufacturability and cost optimization.
8. Prepare and review 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, engineering specifications and design documentation.
9. Apply GD&T;, DFM/DFA and Design for Reliability principles during product development.
10. Support root-cause analysis, troubleshooting and corrective actions for product and field issues.
11. Coordinate with suppliers for component development, technical evaluation and qualification.
12. Support product industrialization and transition from R&D; to manufacturing.
13. Participate in design reviews, FMEA, risk assessment and engineering change management.
14. Work on continuous improvement of existing products and development of next-generation cooling solutions.
15. Support technical discussions with customers and overseas engineering teams when required.
Required Technical Skills
1.
Strong experience in Product Development / R&D; / Mechanical Engineering.
2. Hands-on experience in thermal management, cooling systems, HVAC, refrigeration, heat exchangers or fluid systems.
3. Good understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
4. Experience with pumps, valves, piping, manifolds, heat exchangers and coolant circuits is preferred.
5. Strong knowledge of mechanical design and engineering drawings.
6. Experience with SolidWorks / Creo / NX / CATIA or similar 3D CAD tools.
7. Knowledge of GD&T;, DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-up and manufacturing processes.
8. Experience in prototype development, product testing and validation.
9. Exposure to CFD / thermal simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent, Icepak, FloTHERM or similar is an advantage.
10. Knowledge of materials, fabrication, sheet metal, machining and assembly processes.
11. Understanding of BOM, engineering change management and product lifecycle processes.

Experience working on high-capacity cooling systems, CDUs, liquid cooling, immersion cooling or data-center infrastructure will be highly preferred.
