Senior HVAC/MEP Design Engineer Industrial Projects

We are looking for a Senior HVAC/MEP Design Engineer with strong hands-on design experience to join our growing team. The role involves working on industrial projects from concept and calculations through detailed design, BIM modelling and engineering documentation.

The successful candidate will work independently under technical leadership, take ownership of assigned deliverables and collaborate closely with structural, electrical, automation and other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform HVAC calculations including heating/cooling loads, airflow, pressure losses, duct sizing, ventilation and indoor pressure requirements.
- Design HVAC, plumbing, drainage, utilities and related MEP systems for industrial facilities.
- Develop coordinated Revit MEP models, layouts, schematics, P&IDs; and IFC/construction drawings.
- Prepare equipment schedules, datasheets, specifications, BOM/MTO and calculation reports.
- Design and coordinate compressed-air piping, safety-shower connections and other mechanical interfaces.
- Coordinate with structural, electrical, automation and equipment-supplier disciplines, considering supports, penetrations and constructability.
- Maintain high standards of technical quality and documentation while completing deliverables independently.




- Collaborate with colleagues and project teams in Sweden and contribute to effective client communication.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or a related discipline.
- 5 - 12 years of relevant HVAC/MEP detailed-design experience, preferably in industrial buildings, laboratories, steel plants or similar facilities.
- Strong practical knowledge of HVAC calculations, ventilation and equipment selection.
- Advanced Revit MEP skills; experience with AutoCAD and Navisworks.
- MagiCAD experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with European/EN standards; Nordic/Swedish project experience is an advantage.
- Valuable understanding of BIM coordination, installation requirements and constructability.
- Strong written and spoken English with the ability to prepare explicit engineering documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimum instructions and take ownership of technical deliverables.
- Strong team-player attitude and willingness to work in an international, multidisciplinary environment.

Specialist pipe-stress calculations and Siemens HVAC automation/programming are not mandatory for this role and may be supported by specialist resources where required.
