About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Database Developer with strong expertise in core Oracle and PL/SQL to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of database architecture, SQL optimization, and Unix scripting. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing database objects such as stored procedures, packages, functions, views, and cursors to ensure high performance and reliability.

The candidate will also be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing existing database systems, as well as supporting migration activities and ETL processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to mission-critical projects that impact our clients’ success.

Qualifications





- 3-7 years of relevant experience in Oracle database development and PL/SQL programming.
- Strong knowledge of database architecture, indexing, joins, exceptions, and debugging techniques.
- Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries and fine-tuning database performance.
- Hands-on experience with SQL*Loader, ETL tools, and migration activities.
- Good understanding of Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Desirable experience with Autosys, Control-M, and automation scripting.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and deploy database objects such as stored procedures, functions, packages, views, and cursors to support business requirements.
- Optimize and tune SQL queries to improve database performance and efficiency.
- Design and implement database architecture solutions that ensure data integrity, security, and scalability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, performing debugging and exception handling as necessary.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to facilitate migration activities and ETL processes.




- Create and maintain documentation related to database schemas, procedures, and processes.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support automation and scheduling tasks using Autosys, Control-M, and Unix scripting tools.
- Contribute to project planning, estimation, and execution within an Agile framework.
