Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, scripts, stored procedures, and views.

Develop and maintain database objects to support business and application requirements.

Create, manage, and troubleshoot Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.

Work with Azure SQL Database to manage and optimize database performance.

Develop and support data integration and ETL/ELT solutions using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and application teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

Monitor and improve database performance, data quality, and system reliability.

Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Prepare technical documentation and maintain development artifacts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

Solid experience in SQL development and query optimization.

Proficiency in creating and maintaining:

o Stored Procedures o Views o Functions o Triggers (preferred)

Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database.





Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF).

Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ADF Pipelines.

Good understanding of Azure Databricks and data transformation processes.

Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing principles.

Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting database issues.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently.

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Strong focus on quality and timely delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of business domains, including Finance, Insurance, and Banking.

Knowledge of Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) is an added advantage.

Experience working in cloud-based data platforms.

Knowledge of data modelling and database design principles.

Exposure to CI/CD processes and DevOps practices in Azure environments.

Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications will be an added advantage.
