Job Title: Specialist Quantity Surveying/Estimating – Electrical & ELV
Location: Hyderabad (Gachibowli)

Main Duties:
- Review RFP documents/requests for estimates to understand project details and requirements.
- Reviews and interprets engineering documentation such as drawings/specifications/scope of works to fully understand the project requirements for detailed and accurate estimating.
- Initiate detailed quantity take-offs against the technical drawings, specifications and scope of work documentation and conduct bulk checks to validate.
- Produce quantity take-offs to provide further pricing details to fill gaps in the measurement.
- Consolidate detailed and accurate Bill of Quantities to a recognized Method of Measurement for the whole discipline scope of works.
- Produce timely Requests for Clarification/Information and action responses.
- Produce “Bottom-Up” first-principles pricing for Bill of Quantities items.
- Analyse first-principles rates against current known market rates.
- Initiate tender enquiries for materials and plants to support first-principles pricing.
- Liaise with Procurement Team on Subcontract Package scope of works, documentation and quotation responses.
- Analyse Technical and Commercial Package Adjudications and query as required.
- Analyse Subcontract Package pricing against first-principles build-ups.
- Produce risk data input to the tender Risk Analysis.
- Produce list of pricing exclusions, deviation and assumptions.
- Present estimating deliverables for review to Management
- Input pricing detail into the proposal format required by the tender in a timely manner.
- Collate and check tender bids against estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with other departments: Engineering, Planning, Procurement & Subcontracting Management and Project Commercial Management to ensure effective information flow to support the pricing.
- Works within the guidelines of the estimate plan produced by the Estimating Lead.
- Liaises and engages with the engineering team to produce the basis of estimate report.
- Provides timely clarifications in line with the estimating schedule.
- Works within the Estimating Team, reporting to the Head of QS & Estimating.
- Coordinates with other Discipline Estimators and Engineers.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies (Skills):
- 5-7 years of Electrical & ELV QTO and costing experience.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Relevant Discipline or Equivalent.
Type of Experience:
- Prior Electrical & ELV Cost Estimating Experience in the Construction Industry
- Prior Semiconductor, Data Centre, Pharmaceuticals, Life Science project cost estimating experience (desirable)
- Proficient in supporting medium-to-large-scale projects
- Proficient in preparing, co-ordination and consolidation of all estimating activities.
- First-Principles Pricing
- Estimating at various stages of design development i.e., Pre-Concept, Concept, Detailed Design, IFC etc.
- Estimating Electrical & ELV Works as follows:
- Electrical Equipment & Distribution Systems: HV and LV Equipment, Process Busways, Cabling, Containment, Lighting, Small Power, Earthing & Lightning Protection
- ELV Systems: FMCS/BMS/DCS, IT/DATA/Network, Security (ACS/CCTV), Fire Alarm Systems, Public Address, Audio Visual, Life Safety Systems & Gas Monitoring
- Estimating Electrical & ELV Works for Industrial Projects
