About the Role

LivSYT is building an AI-native engineering platform that automates complex infrastructure design - from engineering calculations and 3D/CAD models to drawings and downstream project workflows.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build the platform layer connecting our CAD/geometry engine, AI systems and cloud infrastructure. This is not a conventional CRUD/API development role. You will work on large engineering models, distributed computation, real-time collaboration, versioning, multi-user concurrency and secure enterprise deployments. You will have significant ownership over architecture and technical decisions as the platform scales globally.

What You Will Own

- Design and build high-performance backend services using Python, FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
- Architect APIs and distributed services connecting CAD/geometry engines, AI agents and cloud services.
- Build systems for processing and managing large engineering/CAD models and binary files, including DWG, IFC and BREP workflows.
- Design real-time multi-user collaboration: concurrency, versioning, locking, conflict resolution and recovery.
- Build event-driven and asynchronous workflows using Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS or equivalent systems.
- Design scalable data architectures using PostgreSQL, Redis and object storage such as S3.
- Own performance, observability, reliability and production troubleshooting for cloud-native services on AWS.
- Design secure multi-tenant architecture including RBAC/ABAC, auditability, encryption and enterprise data isolation.
- Build and improve CI/CD for backend services using Git, Docker and modern deployment pipelines.
- Work directly with CAD, AI,



frontend and product engineers to take systems from architecture through production.

What We Are Looking For

Must have

- 5+ years building production backend or platform systems.
- Excellent Python fundamentals and production experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask or another modern Python backend framework.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
- Strong PostgreSQL fundamentals: schema design, transactions, indexing and query optimization.
- Experience with event/message systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or SQS.
- Production experience with AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker and CI/CD.
- Strong system-design ability and experience diagnosing performance, scalability and reliability problems in production.
- Evidence of owning systems end-to-end - not only implementing tickets.

Strong advantage

- Experience with large-file or binary-data processing.
- WebSockets, collaborative editing, distributed locking, version-control or other real-time systems.
- Kubernetes, ECS or EKS and production observability tooling.
- CAD, GIS, gaming engines, simulation, geometry or 3D systems.
- AI/LLM infrastructure, agent integration or model-serving workflows.
- Enterprise multi-tenant SaaS, permissions, security and audit systems.
