Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with 4–5 years of expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Power BI, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data visualization. The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to deliver scalable and insightful dashboards and reports that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
- Develop efficient data models using star and snowflake schemas.
- Write advanced DAX calculations, measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using Power Query (M Language).
- Connect Power BI with various data sources such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Excel, SharePoint, Oracle, SAP, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Optimize report performance through efficient data modeling, DAX optimization, and query tuning.
- Develop reusable datasets and semantic models following best practices.
- Configure Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and workspace permissions.
- Publish, schedule, and manage reports in the Power BI Service.
- Troubleshoot report issues, data inconsistencies,



and refresh failures.
- Maintain documentation for dashboards, datasets, and data models.
- Follow BI governance, security, and best practices.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M).
- Strong SQL programming skills, including query optimization and stored procedures.
- Expertise in data modeling and dimensional modeling concepts.
- Experience with Power BI Gateway, incremental refresh, composite models, DirectQuery, Import mode, and Live Connection.
- Knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) implementation.
- Experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Microsoft Fabric is preferred.

- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to Have

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Knowledge of Python or R integration with Power BI.
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or other cloud data platforms.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise BI solutions.
