Roles and Responsibilities
1. DSP Kernel Development & Optimization (60%)Design, develop, and optimize high-performance DSP kernels (Audio, Speech, Vision, Radar, or AI/ML) in C/C++ and intrinsics/assembly.
Achieve target MIPS/MHz, memory footprint, and power by performing low-level optimization, loop unrolling,
pipeline scheduling. Port and migrate legacy DSP code across different DSP architectures (e.g., C6x to C7x or HiFi4 to NEON).
1. Architecture & Performance Analysis (20%)Analyze algorithm complexity and explore performance trade-offs across different DSP cores, NPU, and CPU.Benchmark kernels using profilers (e.g., TI Code Composer, Cadence Xplorer, ARM Streamline, Hexagon Profiler).Work on bit-exactness, numerical stability for Fixed-point and Floating-point implementations.
2. System Integration & Bring-up (20%)Integrate DSP firmware with RTOS/Baremetal/Linux environments and validate on SoC / Evaluation boards.Interface with hardware teams for board bring-up, driver interaction (I2C, SPI, I2S, TDM, McASP).Participate in code reviews, develop unit tests (GoogleTest), and maintain CI/CD for DSP builds using CMake/Make.
Good to Have Skills (Strong Differentiator for Staff/Lead):AI-adjacent experience: NPU / AI accelerator kernel optimization (TI C7x MMA, Qualcomm AI Engine, ARM Ethos-U).
Experience in Audio processing (AEC, ANC, Beamforming, Noise Suppression, Codecs - EVS, AAC, SBC) OR Vision (ISP, 3A, Computer Vision kernels).
Knowledge of ML frameworks quantization (INT8/FP16) for DSP deployment.Experience with OpenCL, OpenVX, or Halide.Experience with version control (Git), build systems (CMake, Makefiles), and scripting (Python).
Education:B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in ECE, EEE, CSE or related field with strong academic background in Signal Processing.
What We Offer:Opportunity to work on next-gen Automotive/Audio/Edge-AI SoCs used in millions of devices. High-ownership role with direct architecture impact.
