Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for a Shopify Developer. The role involves developing, customizing, maintaining, and optimizing Protouch’s Shopify e-commerce website to ensure a seamless, high-performing, and user-friendly shopping experience. Daily responsibilities include Shopify theme development, Liquid coding, website customization, app integrations, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and implementing new website features.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of Shopify, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with the e-commerce, marketing, design, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain the Shopify store according to business and e-commerce requirements.
- Customize Shopify themes, templates, sections, layouts, and storefront features using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build and implement new website features, landing pages, product pages, and promotional sections.
- Integrate and configure Shopify apps and third-party tools as required.
- Optimize website performance, speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Shopify website, themes, apps, and integrations.
- Ensure the website is responsive and optimized across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Collaborate with the e-commerce and marketing teams to implement campaigns,



offers, promotions, and website updates.
- Work closely with the design team to convert UI/UX designs into functional and visually accurate web pages.
- Manage product page layouts, navigation, collections, filters, and other storefront elements.
- Monitor website functionality and identify opportunities for technical improvements and optimization.
- Ensure website changes are tested properly before deployment and maintain the overall stability of the store.
- Stay updated with Shopify features, e-commerce technologies, development practices, and industry trends.
- Manage multiple development requirements and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

Qualification

- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Shopify development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Shopify and Shopify theme customization.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working with Shopify themes, templates, sections, and custom storefront features.
- Experience with Shopify app integrations and third-party API integrations.
- Positive understanding of responsive web design, website performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of e-commerce website structure, product pages, collections, navigation, and checkout flow.
- Ability to work closely with e-commerce, marketing, design, and other cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to convert business requirements into functional website solutions.
- Experience with Shopify Plus, Git, APIs, or custom app development will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of SEO, CRO, Google Analytics, and other e-commerce optimization tools will be an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
