Job Title: Shadow Teacher

Organization: Wonder School Learning Collective

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday–Friday)

Salary: ₹15,000/month

About the Role:

We are looking for a compassionate and patient Shadow Teacher to provide one-on-one support to a child with specific learning or developmental needs within the classroom setting. The Shadow Teacher will work closely with the class teacher, school counselor, and parents to ensure the child's academic, social, and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accompany the assigned child throughout the school day, providing individualized support during lessons and activities
- Help the child understand and complete classroom tasks, adapting instructions as needed
- Support the child's social interactions with peers and encourage independence
- Assist with behavioral regulation and de-escalation when needed
- Communicate regularly with the class teacher and parents regarding the child's progress




- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding the child's needs
- Help the child follow classroom routines, transitions, and school rules
- Document daily observations and share relevant updates with the special educator/counselor

Requirements:

- Prior experience working with children with special needs (preferred)
- Patience, empathy, and solid observational skills
- Basic understanding of learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum, or related conditions (preferred)
- Good communication skills with children, parents, and staff
- Graduate/Diploma in Special Education, Psychology, or related field (preferred but not mandatory based on experience)
- Willingness to work full school hours (8 AM–4 PM)

Reporting To: Class Teacher / Special Educator Coordinator Pay: ₹10,309.77 - ₹15,000.00 per month
