Role Description The Service Engineer role at Skytech Systems (I) Pvt. Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru.
The Service
Engineer will install, commission, and calibrate analytical instruments and scientific equipment at customer locations, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to technical specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing technical issues, and executing repairs to minimize equipment downtime. The role involves providing field service visits, technical support, and user training, while maintaining service records, preparing reports, and coordinating with internal teams and manufacturers for parts, upgrades,
and service improvements.
The Service
Engineer will interact with customers regularly, address service requests, and uphold high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications - Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for analytical instruments and scientific equipment.
- Experience in field service operations, including on-site installations, commissioning, and customer visits.
- Proficiency in technical support activities, including guiding users, resolving queries, and documenting solutions.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance & repair tasks such as preventive maintenance, calibration, and component-level repairs.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and external partners in a clear, qualified manner.
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Willingness to travel for field assignments and work in laboratory, industrial, and institutional environments.
- Good organizational skills for managing service schedules, reports, and spare parts inventory.
- Prior experience with analytical instruments or scientific equipment servicing is an advantage.
