Service Engineer – Electronics / Industrial Equipment

Job Summary

We are looking for Service Engineers / Field Service Engineers with hands-on experience in industrial, electronics, automation or manufacturing equipment.

The candidate should have practical experience in installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting and customer-site service.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, set up and commission industrial / electronics manufacturing equipment.
- Attend customer breakdown calls and troubleshoot machine issues.
- Identify electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, sensor and machine-control problems.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Carry out machine setup, calibration, parameter setting and testing.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and FTA for repeated machine failures.
- Identify root causes and ensure corrective actions are completed on time.
- Monitor and improve MTTR and MTBF.
- Check and maintain BOM and machine-related technical details.
- Support internal/customer audits and maintain required service documents.
- Prepare breakdown, service, RCA and maintenance reports.
- Provide technical support to customers at their sites.
- Coordinate with customers, internal technical teams and OEMs for service requirements.
- Support machine trials, testing and final handover.
- Maintain preventive maintenance records and machine history.
- Ensure service issues and corrective actions are closed within the required timeline.
- Travel to customer locations for installation, commissioning and service activities.

- Special Purpose Machines / Production Equipment

Requirements
- 2 – 6 years of hands-on Service / Field Service / Equipment Service experience.
- Experience in industrial, electronics, automation or manufacturing equipment.
- Hands-on experience in installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, sensors, motors and pneumatic systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC I/O and machine controls.
- Knowledge of RCA / FTA / MTTR / MTBF is preferred.
- Knowledge of BOM, audit and corrective action closure is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with focus on root cause identification and on-time issue closure.
- Customer-site service experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel for customer service and machine installation.
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / ECE / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Instrumentation / Automation or equivalent.
