Mann Talks is a non-profit mental health initiative of the Shantilal Shanghvi Foundation, the family foundation of Mr. Dilip Shanghvi, Founder of Sun Pharmaceuticals. Established in 2020, the initiative is guided by the belief that mental health is an integral and essential component of overall health, and works to make quality mental health support accessible, inclusive, and stigma-free.

Mann Talks operates across India through a combination of preventive, promotive, and therapeutic interventions, engaging individuals, institutions, and communities to build awareness, resilience, and timely access to care. Our service delivery includes counselling services (Helpline Counselling, Email Counselling, and Mann Ki Therapy), a digital knowledge portal for mental health information, workshops, and research-informed mindfulness offerings available in both Hindi and English. Role:

We are looking for a Senior Therapist to lead and strengthen Mann Talks' therapy and mental health programmes.

This is a full-time leadership role for a mental health professional who brings strong clinical experience as well as experience in programme management, team leadership and service delivery.

The person will lead the Programs team and work closely with the Director to ensure that our services are high-quality, well-managed, responsive to client needs, and able to grow sustainably.

The role will also contribute to the development of Mann Talks' broader mental health programmes and its aspiration to contribute to a stronger, more accessible mental health ecosystem in India.

Responsibilities:

- Clinical Leadership & Quality

- Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to the team of senior counsellors.
- Support the team in managing complex cases and making appropriate referrals or escalations when required.
- Provide therapy as required,



while maintaining an active understanding of the needs and experiences of clients using Mann Talks' services.
- Develop, review and strengthen protocols, processes and clinical guidelines across programmes.
- Ensure that service delivery is consistent with ethical standards and incorporates rights-based, intersectional and trauma-informed approaches.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement in the quality and accessibility of counselling services.

2. Programme Management & Operations
- Lead the day-to-day functioning of the Programs team and oversee service delivery across counselling programmes.
- Establish and monitor programme processes, workflows, timelines and quality standards.
- Work closely with the Operations team to identify operational challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Monitor programme performance and use data and client feedback to improve service delivery.
- Coordinate with other internal teams and external partners as required for programme implementation.

3. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor and support the team of counsellors.
- Conduct regular reviews and provide constructive feedback to strengthen clinical and professional practice.
- Identify training and capacity-building needs within the team and support relevant interventions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, learning and high-quality client care.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Track key programme and service-delivery indicators and use data to assess performance.
- Analyse programme data and translate findings into actionable insights.




- Prepare regular programme reports and presentations for the Director and Founder.
- Contribute to defining programme goals, outcomes and monitoring frameworks.

5. Outreach & External Engagement
- Actively contribute to efforts to expand the reach and impact of Mann Talks' programmes.
- Work closely with the Outreach team to build relationships with relevant mental health professionals, institutions, organisations and other stakeholders.
- Represent Mann Talks in meetings, forums, conferences and other external engagements.
- Support the development of partnerships and collaborations that strengthen programme delivery and reach.

Desirous Candidates Must Have:

- A Master's degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology (or similar Masters programs).
- At least 12 years of post-qualification experience and substantial experience in therapy/counselling.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and leading a team.
- Solid understanding of India's mental health ecosystem, including the opportunities and challenges in delivering accessible mental health services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clinicians, programme teams, organisational partners and senior stakeholders.
- Comfort working with data and using programme/service-delivery metrics to monitor performance and inform decisions.
- Willingness to commit for a minimum of 2 years.

Location: Mumbai (Harbour Line)

Salary shall be commensurate with candidate skills and experience, in line with industry standards.
