Senior Test Engineer - Payments for Banking Project

- Design, prepare and execute test scenarios, test cases and test plans for payment applications.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, UAT and end-to-end testing.
- Validate complete payment transaction lifecycles, including:

- Transaction initiation

- Authentication and authorization

- Success and failure scenarios

- Timeouts and technical declines

- Reversals and retries

- Refunds

- Reconciliation and settlement
- Analyze and validate ISO 20022 messages, message structures, mandatory/optional fields, data elements and business validations.
- Test REST/SOAP APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Validate API request/response payloads, headers, status codes, JSON/XML structures and error responses.
- Perform mobile application testing on Android and/or iOS, including functional, integration, regression, compatibility and end-to-end payment scenarios.
- Validate backend transaction data using SQL/database queries.
- Analyze application, API and transaction logs to troubleshoot payment failures.
- Identify, document and track defects using tools such as JIRA and work with development teams through closure.
- Collaborate with banks, PSPs, TPAPs, payment partners, vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Support certification, release validation, production deployment and post-production verification.




- Contribute to test automation and improvement of QA processes where required.
- Payments experience on Indian NPCI work experience / UAE AANI work experience
- Should have very positive knowledge in

- ISO20002 messaging standard
- APIs (Postman or any other tools)

- Mobile testing
- Hands-on experience in Indian payment systems / NPCI ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of UPI and/or other NPCI payment products such as IMPS, NACH, AePS or NETC.
- Very good knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards and financial/payment message structures.
- Strong understanding of payment transaction flows and lifecycle.
- Strong hands-on experience in API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Experience validating REST/SOAP APIs, JSON and XML.
- Strong mobile application testing experience on Android/iOS.
- Good knowledge of SQL for backend/database validation.
- Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA.
