Role Description The Senior Steward is a full-time, on-site role based at Aldovia Resort & Convention in Bengaluru. This role oversees stewarding operations across all food and beverage outlets and banqueting areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in kitchens, pantries, and service zones.

Responsibilities include supervising stewarding staff, assigning and monitoring daily tasks, maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinating with the culinary and service teams to support smooth meal periods and events.

Steward also helps implement safety and sanitation procedures, supports setup and breakdown for large functions, and assists in optimizing workflows to enhance overall guest service. The role involves hands-on leadership, mentoring team members, and collaborating with other departments to maintain Aldovia’s premium guest experience.

Qualifications

- Solid Customer Service and Communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and support exceptional guest experiences.
- Practical knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and Food Service workflows, including banqueting and multi-outlet environments.
- Ability to provide Training and guidance to stewarding staff, including coaching on hygiene, safety, and standard operating procedures.
- Experience in hotel, resort, or convention center stewarding or back-of-house operations, preferably in high-volume settings.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks during peak operational periods.
- Comfort with working in rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by event and hotel operations.
- Relevant hospitality or hotel management certification or diploma is an advantage; prior supervisory experience is preferred.
