Role Description The Senior Staff Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care within an institutional healthcare setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, planning and implementing nursing interventions, administering medications and treatments, and monitoring patient responses.

The role involves supervising and mentoring junior nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

The Senior Staff

Nurse coordinates with physicians and allied health professionals, supports patient and family education, and contributes to documentation, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.



This position also participates in training activities, supports implementation of new clinical procedures, and helps maintain a supportive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

- Current nursing registration with the appropriate regulatory body and completion of a recognized nursing degree or diploma.
- Several years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in hospital or acute care settings, with prior responsibility at a senior or supervisory level.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency in administering medications and treatments, and familiarity with evidence-based nursing practices.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and support nursing teams, including organizing workloads and guiding junior staff.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and to educate patients and families.
- Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies and clinical protocols.
- Positive documentation and organizational skills, including accurate record-keeping and participation in audits and quality initiatives.
- Willingness to work in shifts as required by clinical operations and to engage in continuous career development.
- Experience in biotechnology-driven or research-oriented clinical environments is an advantage.
