URJA Consulting Engineers is looking for an experienced Senior Solar Design Engineer with robust knowledge of complete design and drafting processes for utility-scale and ground-mounted solar power projects.

The candidate should be capable of independently handling a project from the initial concept and data-collection stage through detailed engineering, client approval and construction support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare and review complete engineering designs for ground-mounted solar power projects.
- Prepare preliminary, detailed and construction-stage plant layouts.
- Prepare module layouts, table layouts, string layouts and inverter distribution layouts.
- Perform PV module string sizing, inverter sizing and DC/AC ratio calculations.
- Prepare DC, AC and auxiliary system Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Prepare DC, LT, HT, auxiliary, control and communication cable schedules.
- Perform DC, AC and HT cable sizing, voltage-drop, derating and power-loss calculations.
- Prepare cable-routing layouts, cable-trench layouts and road-crossing details.
- Design plant earthing systems and prepare earthing calculations and layouts.
- Design lightning-protection systems and prepare the required layouts.
- Perform equipment sizing for inverters,



transformers, HT/LT panels, UPS and auxiliary systems.
- Prepare inverter, transformer, control-room and switchyard equipment layouts.
- Prepare and review MMS GA drawings, pile-coordinate layouts and foundation drawings in coordination with the structural team.
- Prepare SCADA architecture, RS-485 routing and weather-monitoring station layouts.
- Prepare equipment specifications, GTPs, datasheets, BOQs and Design Basis Reports.
- Review vendor drawings, equipment datasheets and technical submissions.
- Prepare Comment Resolution Sheets (CRS) and incorporate client comments into drawings and documents.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, procurement and site-execution teams.
- Provide technical support during project execution, testing and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IS, IEC, CEA, DISCOM and project-specific standards.
- Guide junior design engineers and draftsmen and review their work before submission.
